Policies

The Zone Dance Center's mission is to provide quality dance lessons to the Oakland County and Detroit metropolitan communities. We pledge to foster and cultivate a fun and supportive environment for dancers of all ages and skill level. Classes will be conducted in a caring manner, instilling discipline and high standards of learning.

    • The Zone Dance Center, LLC requires monthly payment for the dance year (September-June) by the 1st of every month. Any payments made after the 7th of the month will require a $15 late fee in addition to the monthly payment on the parent’s portal. 

    • Drop-in classes are $18 per class and are recommended for adult students only. 

    • Monthly Tuition is non- refundable.

    • A non-refundable registration fee of $25 per family is required at the time of registration. Registration includes early registration and father/daughter registration.

    • The Zone Dance Center, LLC reserves the right to cancel and/or change classes due to small class enrollment size.

    • All students participating in the Recital are required to purchase a Recital Costume. A 50%  non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is due the first week of November. The balance is due the first week of February.

    • December Winter Performance Rental fee is due October 1st. Rental fees are rental costumes that are returned to The Zone after the Winter Performance.

    • June Recital Costume Fee balance is due February 1st. June costumes are purchased by each family and are not returned to the Zone.  Parent portals must be current to pick up costumes in the first week of May for June Recital.

    • Our season runs September-June. Students are allowed (2) two make-up classes per semester. Contact the studio for tardiness/absences. Students may be asked to observe if they are more than 15 minutes late to class. Unless otherwise notified, then student will be dropped from class with more than (3) three consecutive absences in one month.

    • If your child feels ill, please refrain from attending class. Please talk to directors to discuss a make-up class opportunity.

    • If a scheduling conflict arises, please contact The Zone Dance Center Directors prior to dropping class or classes.

    • Please refer to the Class Attire Regulation Sheet for specifics on the dress code. The mandatory dress code is designed to enhance the unity and appearance of our students, which ultimately instills proper dance discipline and etiquette. Students/Parents should make an effort to get the hair off of the neck and forehead and into a bun if at all possible. Additionally, students should not wear jewelry in class. The Dress Code Policy will be strictly enforced. Students will be given an initial verbal and/or written notice; subsequent violations will require students to observe class until the Dress Code Policy can be properly followed.

    • Hip-hop class requires comfortable, athletic gear. Please no crocs, slides or sandals. T-shirt text or images should promote positivity if worn in class.
