Pointe
A part of the classical ballet family, introduced in 1820, the pointe technique involves pointe work, in which the dancer supports all their body weight on the tips of fully extended feet. The beautiful and rigorous technique is geared for the serious-minded student who has developed a strong core, proper turnout, proper releve and strong soft-shoe ballet technique. Pointe is by recommendation only for Ballet III and higher classes. Must be enrolled in a Cecchetti ballet class.
